City of Yokohama starts a new pro bono program named “Hama Bono” – Yokohama Pro Bono, and the orientation meeting will be held on October 26.
This first year, the project period of Hama Bono is 3-4 months. 40 pro bono workers join the program to support 7 local non-profit organizations.
City of Yokohama has been working on construction of community-based integrated care system for many years, and one of the main points is to collaborate with active local citizens’ activities. Hama Bono is a pro bono program to support local organizations that brings connections between neighborhood and realizes informal mutual support in communities.
