Weekend Donor

This Daan Utsav, India’s festival of giving, iVolunteer and Marketing Unplugged brings together a unique project called Weekend Donor. This volunteering project is designed to help NGOs with creative ideas and will see teams of creative people from the Advertising space, contest with one another to come up with bright and innovative ideas to help countries leading NGOs to address their marketing-communication problem .
Volunteers from 8-10 agencies from the advertising industry will volunteer their skills and time over a weekend (48 hrs) to put together communication design/strategy /collateral ideas for NGOs. NGOs all over India are taking part in this unique project to overcome their challenges. NGOs will present a brief of their project in the beginning that they are seeking a solution to. This brief will be vetted by a smaller group to help focus the problem to one that a solution can be thought about over two days. There will be 12-15 teams and each team will work with a particular NGO. Teams will work through Sat and Sunday and are expected to present their output on Sunday evening by making a presentation. A jury comprising professionals from the advertising space and the NGO sector will judge the winning entry. The team that wins will be given a cash prize.
The expectation from the teams contesting is a sustainable marketing solution – which may be supported by a creative/design template. We do hope that the teams will be able to support the NGO they have worked for and nurture this in future as well.
